Client Need
Commerz Real commissioned Maison Libre to develop a commercial concept for a vacant office floor in one of Barcelona’s most inspiring districts. The building, located in a dynamic environment overlooking both the sea and the iconic Sagrada Família, offers a unique opportunity to create a modern workspace for young, innovative tech companies. The focus lies on achieving an optimal work-life balance within an urban setting.

Approach
Starting from the existing DWG drawings, Maison Libre developed a spatial layout that maximises the potential of the available floor area. The objective was to create a workspace that is not only functional, but also radiates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The office concept integrates a comfortable lounge and pantry area, surrounded by bright, open-plan office units designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and flexibility among tenants.

Maison Libre worked closely with contractors, installers, and the client to develop a design that is both commercially and financially viable. The result is a careful balance between practical spatial planning and aesthetic value, with room for the diverse needs of modern businesses.

Distinctive Commercial Real Estate
The building forms a green oasis within the dense urban fabric. The concept highlights creativity and provides ample space for entrepreneurship. This green identity is reflected both in the architecture and in the outdoor spaces, with elegant balconies wrapping around the building and inviting users to work outside or take a moment of pause.

At the heart of the building lies a central, warm communal space that functions as a social hub for tenants. Here, users can meet over coffee, collaborate informally, or simply relax. The interior is inspired by warm, earthy Spanish tones, giving the building a natural and welcoming character.

Scheduled for realization in 2026, this floor offers not only office space, but a complete experience that contributes to the success of its tenants.
