A characteristic office building in Bussum that we had the privilege of transforming into a warm, stylish, and contemporary work environment. A place where professionalism and personality come together, and where the unique charm of the building is fully expressed.

Client Need
For this Family Office, one wish was central: an office environment that radiates calm, trust, and quality, while also encouraging interaction and connection. The space needed to be not only functional for daily use, but also feel welcoming and almost residential for both employees and guests.

An important aspect was the preservation and enhancement of the building’s character. Authentic architectural elements were to remain visible and serve as the foundation for the design.

Our Approach
We began by mapping the client’s needs, work processes, and the existing qualities of the building. On this basis, we developed a spatial layout in which balance is key: focus and comfort, working and relaxing.

The result is a carefully considered design featuring 12 workstations, complemented by an inviting area for lunch, coffee, and informal meetings. Through a thoughtful combination of colour, materials, and furniture, a vibrant yet calm interior was created that aligns perfectly with the identity of a Family Office.

We deliberately enhanced the building’s rich architectural details—such as natural light, proportions, and original features—and allowed them to take centre stage, rather than overshadowing them.

A Workplace with Character

Upon entry, the layered quality of the space is immediately felt: warm, refined, and designed with attention to detail. The workspaces provide calm and clarity, while the communal areas invite conversation and connection. The use of colour and texture creates a friendly, human atmosphere without compromising professionalism.
